"Our experience was very positive. We
got off the subject a little, but it was always about
what the high-school experience was like. I think it was
very good that my sixth graders heard all this
information about the problem of drinking and other peer
pressure from high-school aged students rather than
adults. I think the information will stay with them and
I think it meant more. The high-schoolers were very
polite and pleasant too! Very good experience" |

"It went very well. Actually, I forgot
they were coming and had to scramble a little. However,
the girls were very good, they presented to our three
sixth grades and it was very worthwhile." |

"Just wanted to let you know that the
seniors just left and my class went to gym so I have a
minute to tell you what a wonderful job they did. Our
students were impressed with the knowledge and it
correlated with our Health unit. The technology was
great too because the sixth graders realized that the
PowerPoint that we teach them will continue on through
school and that there are cool things that high school
does too. Thanks again; your kids were great!" |

From a student..."Having the
Bartlett High School kids come and talk to us about the
dangers of alcohol really helped me to understand not to
do it. It was nice to have people who had seen the
effects of it explain to us what it could do..
Thanks Bartlett High School!" |

"I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know
that the presentations were great. Both groups were
prepared and knew what they were talking about. The
students (in my class) loved seeing the high schoolers.
They hung on to every word. It also sparked up a good
class discussion after they left. The only improvement I
see would be technology( we had a bit of a problem
getting it to work) This was no fault of the students
that's just how technology is. Thank again to you and
your students, we really enjoyed having them share their
information." |

"Your students did a very good job! My students seemed
to relate well with them. They were unable to use their
powerpoint presentation so it might be helpful for them
to learn how to set it up or let the schools know ahead
of time that they should have it set up. I think it is
good for my students to hear as often as possible what
the bad effects to making poor decisions are. They are
definitely more likely to listen to other teenagers
rather than hearing it only from adults." |
